Our Vision of Ministry

Mission Statement
We are the Body of Christ, called to proclaim the Good News that Jesus is the Christ – loving God through Worship, Fellowship and Stewardship; sharing God’s love through Discipleship, Ministry, and Missions.

Vision Statement
It is our vision to be a church where God is glorified, and where lives are transformed by the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ.

Our Vision for Worship
It is a vision of a church where worship is more than a ritual. Where, within worship, lives are transformed, families are healed, conflict is resolved, deliverance is found and yokes are broken – not because the worship is focused on us, but rather, because living life in God’s presence is transformative in itself.

Our Vision for Fellowship
It is a vision of a church where members of all ages and backgrounds share their lives together through small groups, fellowship hours, retreats, communal meals, and a variety of recreational activities; so that we might support one another through the joys and burdens of life, and that we might help one another grow to maturity in Christ.

Our Vision for Stewardship
It is a vision of a church where our God given resources are gathered, utilized, and cared for as a sacred trust from God; and where members and guest are equipped to manage their God given resources in ways that honor God, bless Humankind and protect God’s Earth.

Our Vision for Discipleship
It is a vision of a church where, through seminars, retreats, short courses and a multi- year systematic Bible study program, members and guest are provided the instruction, training, guidance and support necessary to live out God’s word in our lives.

Our Vision for Ministry
It is a vision of a church where every member is a minister; where each member is equipped for a significant ministry by helping them discover, develop, and utilize their spiritual gifts, God given talents and personal skills; and where each ministry is working for the common good, so that the Body of Christ may be built up toward unity in the faith and maturity in Christ.

Our Vision for Missions
It is a vision of a church actively participating in the worldwide effort to proclaim and demonstrate the love of God revealed in Jesus Christ; motivating, equipping, and com- missioning our members to go into the local community, the Greater Cleveland Metropolitan Region and throughout the world to transform persons, and the communities where they live their lives, through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Church Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and, on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, we do now, in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into Covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

We engage, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to strive for the advancement of this Church in knowledge, holiness and comfort; to promote its prosperity and spirituality; to sustain its worship, ordinances, discipline and doctrine; to contribute Cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry, the expense of the church, the relief of the poor, and spreading the gospel through all nations.

We also engage to maintain family and secret devotion; to religiously educate our children; to walk circumspectly in the world; to be just in our dealings, faithful in our engagements, and exemplary in our deportment; to avoid tattling, backbiting and excessive anger; and to be zealous in our efforts to advance the kingdom of our Savior.

We further engage to watch over one another in brotherly and sisterly love; to remember each other in prayer; to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate sympathy in feeling and courtesy in speech; to be slow to take offense, always ready for reconciliation, and mindful of the rules of our Savior to secure it without delay.

We moreover engage that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with some other Church where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and principle of God’s Word.
